Service Description

The YLE Starters exam is the first level in the Cambridge English Young Learners program. This exam is aimed at younger children aged 7 to 9 and serves as an introduction to the English language. The exam consists of three parts: reading and writing, listening and speaking. In the reading part, children must recognize words and read simple sentences. The listening test assesses understanding of simple instructions and conversations. The speaking part includes naming objects and simple answers to questions. The aim of the Starters exam is to give children a positive start to learning English.
